Quora breached, over 100 million users affected

The popular question-and-answer portal has been breached by an unknown third party. The amount of data is impressive, fortunately Quora implemented some basic security policies like hashing the passwords and segmenting the data. If you have a Quora account – beware of  phishing attempts!

Australia passes some controversial encryption laws

The government of Australia has passed some very controversial encryption laws in a very ‘unusual’ swift parliamentary session. Citing the reason of combating terrorism, tech companies can now be compelled to release and decrypt messages by the police and security agencies. Only 29% of EU organizations are GDPR compliant
